THE BACKGROUND The healthcare system in Gaza is currently facing a severe crisis due to ongoing conflict. Approximately two-thirds of hospitals in Gaza are non-operational due to extensive damage, leaving a limited number of facilities overwhelmed by patient demand. These remaining hospitals face critical shortages of essential medical supplies and fuel , significantly impacting their ability to provide adequate medical care. Around 350,000 individuals with chronic diseases , including diabetes and hypertension, are experiencing severe difficulties accessing vital medications and procedures such as dialysis. Damage to medical infrastructure and supply shortages have severely disrupted chronic disease management. Cancer patients face an especially critical situation after 21 March 2025 when Gaza’s only specialized cancer treatment center , the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital was destructed . This hospital previously treated up to 30,000 cancer patients annually, and its loss has left many without essential medical care. Specialized services like organ transplants are currently unavailable within Gaza , forcing patients to seek treatment abroad, a process complicated by logistical and security barriers. How ARDA Addresses Gaza’s Healthcare Crisis? In response to the collapse of the healthcare system in Gaza, ARDA has launched a coordinated campaign to ensure that patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions receive the medical care they need outside the region. The process includes five key steps. 1. Patient Registration ARDA has created an online registration system where patients can register. We build a secure digital database about: Diagnosis and treatment history Current medical condition Urgency level and any complications !!! If you or a person you know in Gaza has a life-threatening condition, you can REGISTER HERE!!! 2. Partner Hospital Collaboration ARDA collaborates with a network of partner hospitals outside Gaza. Medical professionals from these hospitals evaluate each case to determine: The feasibility of treatment The urgency of the condition Availability of appropriate services Priority is given to: Children in urgent medical need Pregnant women requiring maternal or prenatal care Emergency cases , including cancer patients and individuals with chronic or life-threatening conditions If you are a representative of a hospital and you are interested in accepting patients from Gaza, please contact our team . 3. Documentation Preparation Once a hospital agrees to accept a patient, ARDA coordinates the preparation of all necessary documentation. This includes: Medical reports and test results Hospital acceptance letters Identification and legal paperwork for the patient and an accompanying assistant 4. Authorization to Leave Gaza ARDA facilitates the process of obtaining official clearance for the patient and their assistant to leave Gaza. This involves: Submitting the medical case and hospital approval to the relevant authorities Navigating logistical and legal channels for cross-border medical travel 5. Travel and Transfer Logistics Upon receiving formal approval, ARDA arranges the full travel itinerary, ensuring safe and timely transport of the patient and their assistant to the partner hospital. This includes: Transportation to the border crossing Coordination with medical escorts if needed Travel arrangements to the destination hospital What did we do so far? In the past months, ARDA has built the foundations of the Gaza Health Bridge with relentless effort. We formed a network of partner hospitals ready to accept urgent cases, secured legal experts to navigate complex exit procedures, and m apped the path to treatment —step by step. This work is intense, often invisible, but it’s what makes every medical transfer possible. What do we need now? Every day, more patients are being registered — most of them children. Families are reaching out in hope, and our volunteers are doing everything they can to respond. But while the will is strong, the road to treatment depends on resources . Each medical journey requires transport, legal processing, hospital coordination, and follow-up care. Our cost estimates are based on real hospital evaluations, but as new cases come in daily, that number keeps rising. In the current reality, many of these patients won’t survive without intervention . They’re not just numbers—they’re children, mothers, and fathers with names, faces, and a chance at life. With your support, everything becomes possible — the paperwork moves, the borders open, and healing begins. Help us carry them to safety! Where are you? This campaign is built on courage, care, and community — and everyone has a role to play . Whether you have time, resources, or simply a voice, you can help carry a patient one step closer to safety. Here’s how you can support the Gaza Health Bridge: Donate – Every contribution helps cover medical costs, transport, legal fees, and treatment. Share the Campaign – Spread the word in your circles. Visibility saves lives. Volunteer Your Skills – Hospital managers, translators, legal advisors, coordinators — we need you. Connect Us – Introduce us to hospitals, donors, or partners who can amplify the mission. Stay With Us – Follow updates, show up again, and be part of this movement.

THE BACKGROUND The war left Gaza in devastation—69% of all structures are in ruins, and more than 80% of commercial facilities are severely impacted, over 1,000 mosques have been damaged or destroyed. The picture now looks even worse when we add to this the debris and the explosive remnants of the war. Destroyed mosque in Gaza, Source: The New Arab WHAT IS IMPORTANT NOW? We design our campaigns based on the needs of local communities, ensuring that every project respects and reflects their true values and cultural heritage. Amid this widespread loss, the need for communal and spiritual spaces is urgent. In Islam, these spaces are far more than mere structures; they are sanctuaries that nurture collective worship, foster unity, and provide vital emotional and spiritual healing. For many Muslims, communal prayer gatherings are a cornerstone of resilience, offering a place to share grief, rebuild hope, and draw strength from one another. Unlike individual family tents, shelters built for communal prayer are designed to create an environment where the community can come together as one—healing from trauma, reinforcing bonds, and paving the way for sustainable development. HOW TO ADDRESS THE NEED? Our campaign is all about creating safe, functional spaces for the community. We plan to purchase and deliver tents that will serve as venues for worship, collective spiritual gatherings, and educational activities . Working closely with local communities, we’ve carefully assessed their needs and identified suitable sites for these shelters. WHAT DO WE NEED? Following the Global Shelter Cluster’s minimum standards, our initial phase will see the purchase of 112 tents as follows: N Size Picture Capacity Quantity Unit price Total Price 1 6x14 m (84 sqm) 56 14 $ 8 580 $ 120 200 2 6x12 m (72 sqm) 48 24 $ 6 950 $ 166 800 3 7x15 m (105 sqm) 70 9 $ 15 600 $ 140 400 4 8x20 (160 sqm) 105 9 $ 19 950 $ 179 550 5 6x10 (60 sqm) 40 14 $ 6 500 $ 91 000 6 5x12 (60 sqm) 40 42 $ 6 800 $ 285 600 TOTAL 112 $ 983 550 To bring these essential shelters to life, we need to raise 983 550 USD for the purchase of 112 tents that will serve the needs of thousands of people. THE TASK AHEAD The task ahead is challenging—delivering and establishing these tents in such a complex environment is far from simple. We are already hard at work, following the detailed planning, site assessment, and logistical guidelines from the Global Shelter Cluster. THE GOOD NEWS: WE ALREADY GOT THE PERMISSION TO DELIVER We are now working on evaluating the best locations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery, and tackling countless on-the-ground challenges to set up these communal spaces. YOUR ROLE Your support is a tangible act of transformation. Imagine this: for the price of a dinner out —about 50 USD— you can secure a vital inch of space that will serve as a safe haven for not only prayer, but also community meetings, educational sessions, health workshops, and cultural events . Every 50 USD you contribute directly builds a sanctuary where families gather to heal, learn new skills, and reclaim their future, free from dependency. By giving, you're not merely donating money; you're actively constructing one of the 112 shelters that will become beacons of hope and resilience in Gaza. Together, step by step, we're turning crisis into opportunity, empowering communities to rise, rebuild, and thrive. Your generosity is the spark that ignites lasting change—join us in creating a future defined by strength, unity, and the relentless human spirit.
