ARDA Launches Patient Registration System Amid Gaza Health Crisis

17.04.2025

As Gaza’s humanitarian crisis deepens, the collapse of its healthcare system has left thousands without access to basic or lifesaving treatment. Hospitals and clinics have been damaged or destroyed, medicine supplies have run dangerously low, and medical professionals are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of cases. Patients with urgent conditions, chronic illnesses, or post-surgical needs are now facing impossible odds.

In response to the deteriorating situation, the ARDA Foundation launched the Gaza Health Bridge—a campaign designed to identify patients in need and connect them with international medical institutions willing to provide treatment. The initiative, driven by a commitment to long-term impact and patient-centered care, aims not only to address immediate medical needs but also to build a sustainable response model for ongoing crises.

As part of this effort, ARDA developed and deployed a digital system allowing individuals in Gaza to register medical cases requiring assistance abroad. The platform enables patients or their families to submit critical information, helping prioritize the most urgent cases and facilitating outreach to healthcare providers outside the region.

The system have been opened for registrations since March 2025. What we got so far:

  • The registration link was accessed over 70,000 times, demonstrating the scale of need and interest.
  • More than 200 patients were officially registered through the platform or by direct email.
  • 40% of these cases involve women.
  • 45% of all reported cases require urgent medical attention.
  • 21% are categorized as chronic conditions.
  • 73% of registered patients say they do not currently have access to a medical doctor.
  • 90% of all patients indicate they need financial assistance to pursue treatment abroad.

These results come from across the Gaza Strip, including Rafah, Gaza City, Khan Yunis, and Deir al Balah—areas where medical services have been particularly hard hit. The data collected provides essential insight for building partnerships with hospitals and NGOs and for planning future phases of the Gaza Health Bridge.

The registration portal remains open and can be accessed at the following link:

Sustainable Impact

This system does more than provide a list of names. It offers a window into the current health emergency in Gaza and creates a bridge—both literal and symbolic—between isolated patients and a world that can still reach them. Each case we receive sharpens our understanding of what’s needed and strengthens our ability to advocate for scalable solutions, not just one-off interventions.

The Gaza Health Bridge is already setting a precedent for what rapid, humane, and digitally connected healthcare response can look like in crisis zones. It reflects a shift from temporary aid toward building tools that communities can rely on—even under the worst circumstances.

Every Name Is a Life—and Every Share Makes a Difference

Behind every statistic in our report is a face, a family, and a fight to survive. Children who have lost access to life-sustaining medication. Mothers waiting for surgery that keeps being delayed. Fathers recovering from injury without the chance to heal.

The courage it takes to reach out under siege is extraordinary. These patients are not only asking for help—they are daring to believe that someone will hear them.

By supporting this campaign—by sharing, donating, or simply spreading awareness—you become part of that belief. You become part of the bridge.
